Hello!

Welcome to Learn About Our Earth!

Here we've assembled a small collection of essays about some fascinating natural events that occur on our Earth.

Want to know what a "Plinian Explosion" is?  Find that on the Volcanoes page!

Wonder what a "subduction zone" is?  That's on the Earthquakes page!

Would you like to know what natural disaster you can't feel but your dog can?  Read about this neat sense animals have on the Tsunamis page!

Do you know what makes an island at less risk for storm surge damage from a hurricane?  Find that on the Hurricanes page!

And if you want to learn more, check out the Additional Links page or try the bar at the end of each essay.

Have fun!
